Okay, I have an old Compaq Presario, 5441 with a socket 7 type AMD k6-2+ processor @ 500 MHZ. Now last night I tried to overclock it (finally got it to 550 MHZ and the heat because of all the dust blew it up) Most of my overclocking settings put it betweem 300 and 475 MHZ or lowered the bus speed using the second setting.
leave the FSB setting at default for this. ( _ _ -- ) and set the processor setting to
- _ _ _ _ _ -- this will overclock it to 550 MHZ this is on a 05c4h motherboard.
logically, setting it to -_ _ _ _- - - will set it to 600 MHZ. NOTE I am not responsible for any damage this may cause; remember this blew my processor.
the default settings on my motherboard for 500 MHZ are - - - _ - _ _ -
350MHZ is - - - _ - - - -
or
- - - _ _ - - -
or
- - - - - - - - all up
- - - - - _ _ - got me a no boot and windows bios error... possibly too high MHZ.
_ ------- No boot nothing
- - - - _ _ - - nothing
and many more combinations feel free to Email me with any questions.
